The University of South Wales and Business

The University of South Wales offers business:

Knowledge: work with our academics to develop creative solutions

People: recruit our students as employees or for projects

Training: develop you and your staff

Developing partnerships are key. We offer you high quality research expertise or innovative training courses or first class facilities but in order to remain responsive and relevant to the business community, it is vital for us to work in partnership with you and learn together from the challenges we all face.

Our staff are experts in their fields and regularly work with small and medium sized companies, public organisations, charities and voluntary bodies. Through partnerships with leading influencing bodies such as CBI, IoD and others, we understand the current challenges that businesses are facing and can help you to transform and grow your organisation.

As Wales’s largest university, as you would expect we offer a broad, varied portfolio of courses; from hands-on Foundation Degrees in Finance and Business, to professional qualifications such as the CIM, ACCA and CIPS through to our Executive MBA and prestigious DBA. We have outstanding links with industry - partner companies include Rolls Royce, Microsoft, Tata, the BBC, EADS, Sony and General Electric. British Airways has moved key heavy engineering training to us from Heathrow, so students now graduate from these specialist courses with a degree and the engineering qualification they need for the industry under BA’s Civil Aviation Authority licence.

To ensure that the skills of your staff are appropriate and relevant in today’s rapidly changing economic climate, we also deliver corporate training development opportunities in business disciplines and leading edge topics. We design bespoke tailored short course solutions to meet the specific needs of your organisation.
