NCUB welcomes funding for UK research

The National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) welcomes the announcement made today by the Chancellor of the Exchequer to fund £140million of investment for world class research in future cities and research institutes.
Dr David Docherty (Chief Executive, NCUB) added:
"By any measure, the UK's research performance is world leading and this investment will help contribute toward further strengthening the economic recovery. Collaboration between universities and business right across the United Kingdom is crucial in ensuring vital innovation takes place, as well as the creation of jobs for graduates."
